It is Absheron's local sort. It is grown in most regions of Azerbaijan, Derbend in Dagestan, and Astrakhan and Volgograd. Bushes grow very fast. It grows well in the shed. Flowers are the functional female type. “Black Shani” is it's best pollinated form. It is grown in Mardakan, in Bilgah, mixed with “White Shani”. Clusters are medium, large and conical. Sometimes
bushes are winged. Depending on the pollination density can be different. Seeds are large, round but in some cases they can
be longish. In most cases, its seeds are asymmetrical. Color is light, yellow, when fully ripen it can be golden yellow. Skin
is medium thick and it has tough and thin layer of wax. Languid is fine, quite succulent. Juice is colorless and the taste is
pleasant. Seeds begin to ripen on 20th of August in Mardekan, in other parts of Absheron in the first decade of September
and in Ganja in the middle of September. The efficiency of productivity is up to one; productive shoots comprise 68 percent
of all shoots. The rate of sugar production in irrigated areas reaches 22-23 percent. But in not irrigated areas – 23-27 percent.
Storable for little period of time.
Absheron's population prefers “White Shani” and “Black Shani” to other clone types. White Shani is one of the best grape
sorts in our republic.
